The smallest footprint in its class[01]

  • -At 8x11m (the smallest in its class), the e200X is designed to operate within the city as it exists today.
  • -Leverages existing infrastructure for immediate urban deployment, unlocking dormant helipads across hospital rooftops, corporate campuses, and government facilities.
  • -The e200X fits fully within currently available helipads.

All-electric Vertical liftoff[02]

  • -10 Independent Propulsion Units: 6 dedicated vertical lift rotors, 4 dedicated forward propellers.
  • -Compact Footprint 8 x 11 m: Fully vertical VTOL operations from any helipad or less than the space needed for 2 parking spots.
  • -Fail-Safe Redundancy: Vertical and forward propulsion systems are structurally and electrically isolated to guarantee fail-safe phase transitions.

Designed for the highest safety standard.[03]

  • -Zero single points of failure across flight controls, powertrain, and energy storage.
  • -Designed to match the 10⁹ safety probability required for commercial air travel.
  • -Integrated sensor suite providing real-time obstacle detection and automated avoidance.

Zero emissions. Minimal downtime.[04]

  • -Optimized exclusively for high-density urban corridors.
  • -160 km/h cruise speed: Perfectly balanced to transition total weight onto the wings while disengaging vertical rotors post-launch.
  • -110 km range on a single charge: Enables up to three 30 km back-to-back intra-city trips with zero ground stops or mid-day charging.

Reveal of e200X-PT01

The e200X PT-01 is the structural result of 10,000 kilometres of cumulative flight testing across four technology demonstrators now in active ground testing at the IIT Madras Discovery Campus.

  1. The founding team walking through the hangar past laid-out composite airframe panels

    Company incorporated

Ubifly Technologies is incorporated at the IIT Madras Incubation Cell in 2019, and the Synergistic Lift architecture — vertical lift rotors decoupled from the forward-flight wing — is set down as the platform's founding principle.

  2. The Atva airframe drawn as a general-arrangement wireframe

    Global patent strategy

International patent filings open on the proprietary Synergistic Lift architecture across 25 global jurisdictions.

  3. e6 / flight testing

The e6 () subscale hybrid drone is built and flight-tested through 2021–22, validating real-world aerodynamic performance for surveillance and cargo logistics.

  4. e50 tethered flight validation

The first tethered test campaign of the e50, a 3/8th-scale prototype: flight control laws, motor responsiveness and multi-rotor thrust stability proven inside a constrained physical safety envelope.

  5. e50 full flight and transition

The e50 flies untethered — vertical takeoff, wing-borne transition to forward flight and precision vertical landing. The manoeuvre every eVTOL has to prove before the full-scale aircraft can be certified.

  6. The ePlane and DGCA teams at the Design Organisation Approval ceremony

    DGCA design organisation approval

The first private Indian entity to secure Design Organisation Approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation — the formal regulatory foundation for full-scale commercial certification.

  7. The full-scale e200 passenger cabin mockup on display

    e200 passenger cabin showcase

The full-scale e200 cabin mockup is unveiled to institutional investors, aviation regulators and strategic partners, showing interior ergonomics and human-machine interface design in the metal.

  8. The Atva-1 cargo drone on its stand at the Amber Wings launch

    - 1 DGCA type certified

Amber Wings secures DGCA Type Certification for the -1, validating its airworthiness for commercial BVLOS logistics, emergency medical transport and cargo delivery.

  9. e200X PT-01 unveiled

The first full-scale, 2.2-tonne carbon-fibre prototype is revealed at the new 60,000 sq. ft. Thaiyur facility.

  10. The ePlane team with its global supply chain partners at the signing

    Global footprint expansion

Tier-1 supply chain and engineering integration established with global partners including NVIDIA, HENSOLDT Avionics and AMS Heli.

  11. The e200X PT-01 under the hangar rig during ground testing

    e200X PT-01 ground testing

Comprehensive ground testing on the e200X PT-01: every vertical lift rotor spun up through incremental power steps from idle to lift-off RPM, validating powertrain responsiveness, vibration damping and structural resonance.
